How to Place a Classified Ad on LocalTraderOnline.com

If you have already Registered as a new user, you are now ready to start placing your own classified ads on LocalTraderOnline.com. If you have not registered as a new user and need help please see our tutorial on "How to register as a new user".

Step 1: On the Home page for LocalTraderOnline.com, go down to the bottom of the page to the menu bar. Click on "Sell".

Step 2: LocalTraderOnline.com displays the log in page. Type in your user name and your password and click on "Login".

Step 3: LocalTraderOnline.com displays your member area. Here you can place, Edit and Delete your own classified ads as well as update any of your user information.

Step 4: On the left side of the page, your member menu displays. Click on "Place a Classified Ad".

Step 5: LocalTraderOnline.com now displays the "Add New Classifed Ad" Form. Start by selecting your "Main Category", Click on the drop down arrow to the right of the form.
Your first category is FREE. If you wish to list your add in multiple categories you may do so for an additional 25 cents each.
Now create a Title for your Classified ad. It can be up to 55 Characters in length.

Give the price for your item, only using numbers

Use this text area to write your complete description of your Item. You can also use HTML if you choose to.




This is where you will upload a picture, Make sure you have the picture you want to place with your classified already saved on your hard drive. Then click on the "Browse" button. Your First Picture is FREE, if you want to place more than one picture, it is an additional 25 cents.
The Gallery Listing gives you the option of having your ad displayed at the top of the listings page with the Gallery Featured, click here for an example: or with the Gallery Picture that gives a small thumbnail picture of your item used in the listing itself, click here for an example.
LocalTraderOnline.com gives you some options for capturing your buyers attention. You can Either Bold your Title or highlight the title of your classified or do both. Click here for an example.

Now when you have finished filling out the Add New Classified Form, go ahead and click on "Place Classified Ad".

Step 6: After clicking on the "Place Classified Ad" Button, LocalTraderOnlinle.com now displays your "member area" along with a list of all your current ads. If you chose a FREE Basic ad , under the "Payment" Column should be the word "PAID", along with the letter "A" under the Status column, which means it is now an active classified ad ready to be seen. If you bought added features for your classified ad, Under the payment column you should have the word "FUND", and under the "Status" column will be a letter "D" for Disabled, which means payment must be made in order for the classified ad to be displayed. Click on the word " FUND" to pay for the additional features of your classified. If you have a *FREE Basic ad* then you are finished. If you have a paid ad, continue on to Step 7 to learn how to pay for the additional features for your ad.

How To Pay For Your Classified Ad Step 7: Paying for additional features for your classified ad. Click on "FUND" in the payment column.

Step 8: LocalTraderOnline.com now displays the Title of your ad along with an itemized list of additional features for your classified ad. Click on "Buy Now". You will then be taken to a secure connection.

Step 9: You will then be taken to the "PayPal" Online transaction process. If you do not have a current PayPal account, then click on the "Click Here" Button and Create a PayPal account. If you already have a PayPal Account, Fill in your Email address and PayPal Password and click on "Continue" Button.

Step 10: You should now see your current PayPal account information as well as the Transaction amount. Click On "Pay" button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 11: You have now completed your transaction. Click on the "Continue" button at the bottom to go back to LocalTraderOnline.com.

Step 12: You will now be back at your "Member Area" on LocalTraderOnline.com. Click on "My Classified Ads' in the Member Menu on the Left hand side of the page.

Step 13: You will now notice that under the "Payment" column the ad is now "PAID" and the in the "Status" column is the letter "A" which means the classified ad is now Active and ready to be seen on LocalTraderOnline.com.
